Here’s an important update on opening hours for the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park & Visitor Center (Stop #14 on the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway). Here’s their official statement:
“Due to ongoing staffing shortages, the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park and Visitor Center in Church Creek will adjust its operating schedule to a five-day week beginning December 2. Park hours will be 10am-4pm, Wednesday through Sunday.
“The park will be closed on Tuesdays in addition to Mondays until further notice. This temporary change allows park staff to better manage operations while continuing to provide a safe, high-quality visitor experience the rest of the week.
“We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we work to maintain the high standards of service that visitors expect at this nationally significant site.
