Experience the newly renovated Harriet Tubman Museum & Education Center in Downtown Cambridge during the grand re-opening event on June 13, 2026. New murals on all the walls and floor help tell the Underground Railroad hero’s story. The murals were created by Dorchester County artist Michael Rosato, the muralist behind the well-known “Take My Hand” mural on the exterior of the museum. Special lighting, audio, and video will be added throughout the summer to deepen the experience.

For the re-opening event:

12pm: Doors open for a tour

1pm: Discussion with artist Michael Rosato about the murals

2pm: Storytelling by Walter Jones

4pm: Entertainment by David B. Cole

The museum also leads Underground Railroad walks, often accompanied by live banjo.
