Day of Resilience set for Sept. 7

New Harriet Tubman mural in Cambridge goes viral

A new mural featuring a powerful image of Harriet Tubman has just been finished. On the side of the Harriet Tubman Museum & Educational Center (Stop #5 on the Tubman Byway road trip), the mural shows Tubman with her hand outstretched, beckoning the viewer to join her on a journey to freedom. Walking Tour of Frederick Douglass in Cambridge set for Sept. 21

Did you know that Frederick Douglass was born in the next county over from where Harriet Tubman was born on Maryland's Eastern Shore? Recently some interesting history about Douglass's visits to Cambridge, MD, has been rediscovered, and on Sept. 21, you can join the Walking Tour of Frederick Douglass in Cambridge.
