Walking Tour of Frederick Douglass in Cambridge set for Sept. 21

Did you know that Frederick Douglass was born in the next county over from where Harriet Tubman was born on Maryland's Eastern Shore? Recently some interesting history about Douglass's visits to Cambridge, MD, has been rediscovered, and on Sept. 21, you can join the Walking Tour of Frederick Douglass in Cambridge.

Tubman UGRR Conference is May 31-June 1

The 10th annual Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Conference is set for May 31 - June 1, 2019 in Cambridge, Maryland — just a few miles from the lands where Harriet Tubman lived and toiled, as well as the site of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center and home to the Harriet Tubman Byway. Heritage Area Releases Cell Phone Tours
